Renee Powell lives in Oregon’s wine country, which is where she draws inspiration for her art. Powell incorporates recycled materials into each piece—painting on old doors, moldings and wine barrel staves. The staves are very durable, painted in oils and sealed with varnish.
To Renee art has always been a big part of her life. From graphic designer, muralist, interior designer, art teacher to fine artist. If she is not doing some form of art, she feels a void within her.
Renee graduated with honors from the Colorado Institute of Art, and has taken advanced art classes at Colorado State University
